Jocelyn's Technology Autobiography

Welcome to my, Jocelyn's, blog as a student in Adams City High School in Commerce City,CO.

The topics in Technology I like the most is when we discuss how technology will progress and evolve in the future, because it gives us an open-minded opinion on what we personally think will happen. the topic I dislike is seeing how technology was before , because I think it'll be boring to talk about how back in history the lighbulb was the most advanced piece of technology around.

People that have played a positive role in my education were mainly my parents. Especially my stepdad, because he'd push me so much all through-out elementary and middle school to be the best and always have straight A's. Thanks to that now in high school I don't need him behind me reminding me of what I have to do because after so much of it I strive for the best on my own.

People that have played a negative role in my education are teachers I've disliked and adults that consider work more important than school. Since i didn't like those teachers I didn't learn pay attention so I didn't learn a lot. Then more negative effects when some adults in my life tried to drill into my head that work and gaining money now is more important than ann education, strictly because they never went to school, didn't finish high school, or didn't go to college.

Like all people i have had my share of good and bad technology experiences. Two of my good technology experiences is that when I need directions to a speciific place I can simply MapQuest it and it'll tell me step-by-step, and that I can carry over a 1000 songs plus games for when I'm bored on my iPod. On the other hand two of my bad experiences with technology are when I lose my patience because of how slow the computer is, and when I lose everything when my computer crashes.

The best environment for my learning is to be around people I can ask for help that actually care about school. Also, I'm a visual learner and I learn way better and it sticks in my mind when I see what I'm being taught. My learning is hindered when the class is all about the teacher talking and talking or when all we do is just take notes.

I am here in tech class because I was put in this class and I didn't want to switch out. I am going towards finishing high school and going to college. I expect to learn how to use a computer better and have better talking out loud skills from this course.
